Worms as treatment for IBD

Here's an interesting paper related to a novel treatment of IBD.

"In a stunt reminiscent of the TV reality show Fear Factor, dozens of unpaid volunteers have recently been gulping Gatorade laced with 2500 live eggs from parasitic worms"

The Science Mag article was an interesting read in that parasitic therapies can relieve other types of conditions other than IBD such as diabetes-type I, asthma, and MS in tested models.
I enjoyed reading about the study where children either received treatment for helminth or a placebo. Those who did not receive helminth treatment were actually less allergic to dust mites! Since dust mites are a main component of allergies, I wonder if this therapy will be more common in the clinical setting for humans in the future.
