The above article is from the New York Times and might be interesting to all of us (It talks about inflammation and the person was diagnosed at National Jewish Hospital in Denver)!!
This article came out last year but it really does lead to some questions about our environment and inflammation. How much that we take for granted has serious effects on our health?
Dr. Cohen at the University of Colorado was telling me about a similar case, but where people were exposed to pig brains...if he's reading this, we would love to read about it!

Im wondering whether the people who eats microwavable buttered popcorn (thats talked about in this article) without inhaling it suffer the same symptoms as the man in this article? Is it because of the heat that makes this chemical much more reactive to lung cells?
Can people who are not persistently exposed to diacetyl contract bronchiolitis obliterans? How amusing would it be if this diagnosis was specifically created for microwave popcorn connoisseurs!?
I found an article related to the "Popcorn Worker's Lung" issue: a man was awarded $20 million after a jury determined that the popcorn factory where he was working at gave him permanent lung damage.
If you found yourself in this situation, would you feel that $20 million is enough compensation? How would you change this for other workers who might be at-risk?
